The K-girls took on a new adventure this morning. No, it was not quite as crazy as being on top of the 70 feet of scaffolding but memorable to say the least. For the first time for both of us, we were interviewed on live radio!

Melissa Ross, host of WJCT's First Coast Connects (89.9) had Katie and I on her program to discuss the theatre going into the upcoming season.

We arrived at the studio at 9:15 and were pleasantly greeted by David Luckin and staff. Melissa was already on air with a panel of people discussing jobs in this economy. Katie and I sat, freezing, in the control room watching the action. The experience was very educational as well as entertaining. The phone lines were non-stop with people calling in to be heard about their opinions. I didn't get a chance to meet the man fielding all the calls, but he did an excellent job of making each person feel important.

Finally we were up! The four of us, I, Katie, Melissa and Laura Capitano from the TU sat around a table w/ mics and of course put on the headphones. I think at this point Katie and I were both simultaneously envisioning ourselves as hosts of our own show... K-GIRLS ON THE MIC, well maybe not that title, but something along those lines. The interview was short, but we loved every minute of it.

We literally talked until the day’s end on how much we enjoyed the experience and would love the opportunity to be guests again.

Thanks again to the people at WJCT and we would love to come back anytime!

In case you missed it we are at the end: www.wjct.org/mp3/weekly/fccw.mp3
