This isn’t about that hit television show on FOX. I’m not about to blog about Jack Bauer. I actually stopped watching that show after one full night of watching the first season back to back on DVD a few years ago. It was so intense and gave me such anxiety that I figured I didn’t need that kind of stress from a t.v. show.  I stopped watching E.R. for the same reasons also.

No, this isn’t about a t.v. show, but most definitely about the fact that I just turned 24. Last Thursday, I stepped over that one year line, one more time. Now I’m *this* close to being one-quarter of a century old and the thought of that made me a bit nervous. I, like many people, have a list of sorts of things I would like to accomplish, and many of those things are things that fit just within this year—before I am 25.

Now, in the spirit of sharing and companionship, I would like to include you (as in my readers) in this list as well. So, here it goes…the 24 Things You and I Will Accomplish before January 29, 2010.

1.       I will attend one of the most kick-ass ADDY Awards Jacksonville has ever seen, February 21 at Mavericks.

2.       Okay, okay…YOU will also attend one of the most kick-ass ADDY Awards Jacksonville has ever seen, February 21 at Mavericks.

3.       I will take my first big step into the world of running by running (and finishing!) the 2009 Gate River Run. Please come out to support me and my friends!

4.       I will continue this path into the running world by well..continuing to run.

5.       I will gradually wean myself off post-it notes, and move towards more of a professional way to balance my schedule…my new planner. Thanks Target.

6.       I will clean out all the shoes in my office.

7.       You will come support all the lovely and talented local artists at the Florida Theatre’s annual local art showcase, Art After Dark on March 27. I’ll be there. And all the other cool people will be there too.

8.       I will use my savings account to actual save money.

9.        You will begin to comment on all of the K-Girl blog entries. We would like to know what you think.

10.   You will also become our “Friends” on Facebook and Myspace.

11.   I will begin to learn how to play the electric keyboard.

12.   I will get to the bottom of whether or not my cat is allergic to wheat gluten. Geez. I don’t want anymore $300 vet bills for my cat’s allergies.

13.   I will fix my middle room in my apartment so it doesn’t look like it would make a cozy room for a homeless person.

14.   I will get a computer.

15.   I will get an iphone.

16.   You will buy me an iphone.

17.   You will spend your Summer Sundays with us and our Summer Movie Classics! They are the best way to spend those lazy weekends.

18.   You will step out of your cultural bubble and come see some of the shows we present here that you might not have heard about before. Seriously, we’d never steer you wrong.

19.   I will reset my internal clock to wake up WAY earlier.

20.   I will read more. WAY more.

21.    I will try my best to avoid the digital conversion. Long live rabbit ears!

22.   You will contribute to the future of this great establishment my joining the Friends of the Florida Theatre.

23.   I will have the cleanest office in the office. Yeah right.

24.   I will spend much of the next year with you, and you with me, right here at the splendid Florida Theatre enjoying all of our wonderful programming. Great. See you then J
