Chelsey “Cha Cha” Michelle, is a singer/songwriter best known for being the leading lady of Alchematic and Chelsey Michelle Music. She has become recognized for her soulful, velvety voice and for creating raw, authentic lyrics that resonate. Originally from South Florida, Chelsey has a background of many artistic disciplines. She grew up dancing, modeling, and has worked for a variety of entertainment companies since the early age of 15. At the age of 19, she joined an original hip hop fusion band where she cultivated her sound. Wanting to explore other genres, she formed a female funk duo “2 Dope Girls” that played covers and originals at the South Beach Group Hotels and all over Miami. It’s as if those students wrote her songs indirectly and changed her writing style forever. They enhanced her artistic vision, gave meaning to her life, and became a personal antidote to her own suffering. Teaching musical therapy was a life changing experience that led her to take music to the full extent. Her purpose has continued to evolve after witnessing music saving lives. In 2015, Chelsey relocated to Jacksonville, Fl to pursue music as a full time career. In 2016, she met lead guitarist and music director of Alchematic, Chris Underdal at a musicians jam. Soon after, they started booking gigs and creating original music as a duo. The duo then evolved to a full band.Chelsey Michelle illuminates the stage with an infectious voice that effortlessly flows through the harmonic intricacies of guitarist Chris Underdal’s arrangements. With hundreds of shows under their belt, they have toured regionally, played music festivals and keep the band working full time. They are the creators, founders and core of the Chelsey Michelle Music brand and Alchematic. They continue to challenge their musical limits and take the band to new heights.
